The Many Adventures of Friends
Giraffe usually works with the road construction crew, but when the flames burst out, to the fire he flew. The baby elephants, brand new to the world, filled their trunks, and water they hurled. On a strike was the fire brigade, so as a replacement the Giraffe/Elephant team had it made. Giraffe lifted the Elephants up, so they could shoot water, glup, glup, glup. The extinguished the fire in the nick of time, even faster than I could finish my rhyme.
It was luck that brought them together that day, because now, best friends they will always stay. They go to town in the car, or zoom off to the jungle very far. Together they chomp on chocolate cake, this friendship is not fake. Giraffe takes the babies to the playground, and to the racetrack so they can run around. They are forever friends as the story has it, but please believe this as you see fit.
......
After having my second little button of a boy a few months ago, my sister showed me the neatest thing I had ever seen, Amigurumi!!! She insisted that I give it a try. I was reluctant since all of my previous attempts at knitting or crocheting failed miserably. Finally, she talked me into following a simple, small snail pattern, and guess what!? I did not ruin it! I fell in love with crocheting at this moment in recent history! And I think I have been crocheting non-stop since (well, in between diaper changing that is).
My sister is a giraffe lover, and as a thank you gift I decided to come up with a super cute pattern for her. That is the cutie you see here. He came out just like that on the first attempt, minus the eyeballs. They took awhile for me to figure out. Since I am new to crocheting, it takes me quite awhile to do. The giraffe took me about 15 hours or so. I made all of his parts separately with a nice mustard yellow yarn. I assembled and sewed them all together, then sewed on some cute heart spots, because the giraffe was made with love.
About a week ago, my lovely sister then enlightened me once again! There is a threadknits contest, she told me, and I should enter it! I quickly decided that I would somehow use Giraffe because I was lucky enough to scribble down enough notes to be able to reproduce Giraffe, and he is just too cute to pass up. I thought of all the possible Giraffe shirts that have been printed, and finally settled on The Day The Fire Brigade Went On Strike! So now, all that was left was coming up with cute Elephants. I picked out the perfect bright blue for them and started knitting. 4 little bodies, 8 little ears, and 16 little feet. Sewed them together then they were complete! The moment that they met little Giraffe it was best friends at first sight! They began playing computer and reading at night!

Giraffe usually works with the road construction crew, but when the flames burst out, to the fire he flew. The baby elephants, brand new to the world, filled their trunks, and water they hurled.
