I've always been crazy about owls and have been addcted to coffee for some time, so Hoot was perfect for my inspiration. I keep a water bottle handy all the time & wanted to dress it up with an owl. Hence a bottle cozy with Hoot.
I intensly dislike having to seam my knitting so I knit circularly as much as possible. In early February I cast on doublepoints & knitted until it was time to start the intarsia owl. I knit the owl part flat and worked a system to use a second skein of white to knit the rest of the rows on the other needles, joining into the front part. After the owl was finished, then back to circular knitting for the finish.
This actually just took a few hours to knit but a couple of quick gift knits had me setting it aside & delayed the photo sesion till now.
