Forget about corn hole and pin the tail on the donkey. Every kid is going to want the deadly-ninja-throwing-tuna and target set at his next birthday party!
Ok, well maybe not necessarily... but we are going to play at my daughter's birthday this weekend..... no NO NO! NOT IN THE CAKE!
The set of five deadly-ninja-throwing-tuna range in size from about 2.5 inches across to 5 inches across. Each was made using Phentex Baby yarn in a lavender color. Their expressions are inspired by actual ninja tuna from Mr. Scruff's awesome design. They are stuffed with poly beads to give them a little heft when throwing.
The target is made up of 25 granny squares, sewn together. I used Caron Simply Soft for both shades of blue.
The idea for making the tuna into a game came to me after watching (what seems like) hours of curling on this year's winter Olympics. Immediately after the first tuna was sewn up and stuffed, it was winged at my husband's head (he's the sports nut).
So, in honor of the international challenge brought to us by the Olympics every four years and the even more awesome challenge brought to us by Chris Cardinal and Threadknits, I give you the next new sporting craze -- DEADLY-NINJA-TUNA THROWING!
