This hat-scarf is inspired by the design Octadecapus by David Creighton-Pester aka WanderingBert. It took a couple seasons of Lost and a Thanksgiving break by the fireplace to finish. I've always wanted to make a hat-scarf, but past attempts have turned out too heavy and uncomfortable. Not so with Octadecapus! Not only is it super-warm, but it is very fun to wear. I didn't put as many arms as are represented in the design, because it would have made wearing it very awkward. Each of the arms are varying lengths and curves.
No patterns were harmed in the making of this craft. Octadecapus was my guide.
