As the mother of a toddler, I love the idea of a "clean monster." My personal opinion is that the only reason my daughter learned to walk is to further spread her "influence" (read disaster) throughout the house. But, somewhere in mommy-fantasy-land, Godzilla quietly and serenely tidies up, a tribute to the idea that not all monsters have to be messy!
I designed my clean monster as a puppet because I thought it would be fun for Godzilla to help teach my daughter how to clean up her toys. I'll let you know how that works out!
The yarn used for the puppet is made from 30% recycled polyester, made from plastics found in soda and water bottles -- so, in a way, Godzilla is also a "green" clean monster. The puppet is 100% crocheted (with the exception of the felt eyes). For those of you who might be interested in "hiring" a cleaning monster of your own, I have translated a version of the design into a crochet pattern, available through my Etsy shop.
