This is one of my favorite Threadless designs, especially because I am an American living in Scotland. Last fall my family, boyfriend and I traveled all over Scotland's amazing landscape, visiting lots of castle ruins, old abbeys, chapels, and so on. We even rode a boat on Loch Ness, and visited the castle overlooking the loch. In almost every picture of our trip, I managed to sneak a stuffed Loch Ness Monster toy into the shot. So when I saw this contest, I knew I had to make the Loch Ness Impostor. This is the first time I've ever crocheted anything that wasn't a hat or a scarf, so it was really arduous--especially because I didn't have a pattern to guide me. Everything is made with Acrylic yarn, and I used knitting needles to attach the crocheted eyes to each piece. While challenging, the whole process has been incredibly enjoyable and I am so happy with the finished product. I hope you like my Loch Ness Impostor!!
