When I saw this contest, I immediately knew what I wanted to create. I enjoy making quirky hats, and felt that I needed to have this hat in my wardrobe.
I made this hat from the top down and used a modified ball design for the piranha. After creating the two halves of the piranha, I started stitching the green directly to the stem of the "flower", so it would be more stable. After I felt I'd gotten a good foundation for the piranha plant, I increased my stitches/round until the hat was the right size, and then completed the body of the hat.
