Jared Stumpenhorst aka jstumpenhorst is a great guy and a great designer. I've thought so from the moment I saw his second submitted design on Threadless (although that 1st one has a place in my heart). When it comes to imagination, his cup overruns. There is something dark and luxurious that makes all his designs feel as though they are scooped directly out of dream land where characters mingle between fairy tales and cautionary tales.
The scales on the monster's head go all the way around in various sizes and shapes. It took me two tries to get the mouth to match the design, and still it doesn't smile exactly right. This took me a few weeks to finish because I was working with shapes that I'd never made before. I love this hat.
