When I saw this T-shirt, I just fell in love and knew I had to make the moon and wolf.
The moon is a large crocheted ball measuring about 9 inches across. It has black felt eyes and a black felt mouth, which I sewed on. The arms are crocheted and sewn on the body, and I inserted coat-hanger wires to make them bendy! Each finger is sewn on separately to make the hands, and then I sewed them into position.
The wolf has been a huge pain in the butt, much bigger than I thought it would be! The wolf pictured is the third wolf, the first two ended up looking more like rats, so I gave them to my daughter! It has a round felt mouth to look like it is howling, but in the end, I think it looks more terrified than howling! Which is appropriate, I think. If the moon yanked me off the earth, I'd be terrified too!
I plan on hanging this from the ceiling in my daughter's room. It weighs about 3lbs, so I think the ceiling can take it!
I've nicknamed the moon Mr. Moon, and the wolf Wolfie. Not too original, but they're cute. Oh, and you will see by my other photos that Mr. Moon loves to crochet!
